The acquisition follows a successful merger with Harrick Lawyers earlier this year, further expanding the reach of the firm’s dispute resolution offering.
Peter has more than 40 years’ experience advising on a broad range of legal matters and disputes, including several noteworthy High Court cases. His work has contributed to alterations in the law relating to payment by mistake and the defined meaning of a mortgage in the Farm Debt Mediation Act 2011.
His focus at FCW Lawyers will be on mentoring emerging leaders in the wider dispute resolution team, and new business development.
FCW Lawyers’ CEO, Robert Patterson, commented:
“Peter is an industry luminary, bringing a wealth of experience to the firm with him. We have had great success building a diverse team at FCW Lawyers, offering different perspectives to learn from. I know that Peter’s insights will provide huge growth opportunities for our wider team.”
“Joining FCW Lawyers will expand the service and support that Costin and I can deliver to our clients. At the same time, it will allow me to enjoy the opportunity to directly impact the development of the wider dispute team and impart my years of experience onto this new generation of lawyers.
The merger will add a depth of experience and knowledge that Peter and Costin can bring to the service of clients for both firms in banking and finance law, commercial dispute resolution, property law, family provision claims, probate law and estate administration.
