Leisa’s clients describe her as patient, relentless, and plain-talking – she will say in ten seconds what it takes others hours to explain.
Leisa draws on her extensive commercial law background to advise clients on business structuring, legal risk management and intellectual property.
Before setting up her own practice 15 years ago Leisa had most recently worked as an Associate Director at Macquarie Bank and before that was a Senior Associate at HWL Ebsworths. Drawing on that experience Leisa took the opportunity to set up a boutique commercial practice with her life and business partner, Alister.
Leisa’s early years were in corporate tax and compliance, which were a great training ground, but by the time she was at HWL Ebsworths she realised that commercial law was the place for her. Leisa is a natural problem solver and has always welcomed the challenge of taking complicated ideas and finding a simple way to express them. As it turns out these are two of the fundamental skills of a good commercial lawyer!
As a business owner of 15 years, she understands what makes a good advisor – someone to take the stress out of immediate decisions, whilst looking to the horizon with her clients’ longer-term objectives always front of mind. Leisa is an experienced business lawyer who takes the time to step clients through complex legal requirements to help them map out a legal journey that is future-proof.
