Managing Serious Workplace Incidents

Event Overview

Building a safety crisis management system to protect the welfare of employees and your organisation, reduce the risk of prosecution and avoid dislocation of productivity

When a serious incident occurs, most organisations don’t have a practised, thoughtful, deliberate, and wellbeing-based method of managing it. The result is psychological, cultural, reputational, productivity, and quality damage, along with prosecutions that could land you in gaol. These sessions help you understand what actions must be taken in the first 48 hours to prevent the above risks, how you investigate, reduce the risks of prosecution, support the injured worker, their family and your affected staff, manage police and regulators, kick start productivity, reduce reputational and financial risks and make the environment safe for everyone. The sessions also examine how to manage the regulator’s investigation, rules around answering questions, legal professional privilege, and ultimately managing of any prosecution that may arise.
