FCW Lawyers is pleased to announce the appointment of David McKenzie as Special Counsel in our Property Law Practice Group.
With over 20 years of experience, David McKenzie is an LIV Accredited Property Law Specialist and expert in disputes over easements, adverse possession, retail leases, building disputes and negotiating with insurers. He also regularly represents clients in building litigation at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), and in court.

David has been involved in several cases that are now referred to in property law.
He is passionate about the growing area of the integration of property law, owners corporation law and building law as applied to so many defective apartment buildings in Victoria.
David is also a very active member of the Law Institute of Victoria currently chairing the Owners Corporation Working Group and is the immediate past chair of the Property and Environmental Law Section and Building and Construction Committee and a member of the property law committee.
As one of the authors of the LIV Off the Plan contract and a contributor to the updating of the LIV Contract of Sale, David is an active presenter and teacher for various teaching institutions.
